Competitive downhill mountain biker Aidan Schuh is trading in two wheels for four as he joins Crosslink Motorsports to compete in the 2026 FR Americas Championship season. His move to Formula Regional competition marks a significant step forward in his racing career.
“I’m incredibly proud to represent Homes For Our Troops in my first professional season, driving the iconic No. 14 as we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary,” said the 22-year-old Schuh. “This program is about more than racing—it’s about honoring our veterans at every stop and bringing their stories to fans across the country. Carrying the American flag on our car all season is a privilege that means everything to me.”
The partnership between Schuh and Crosslink Motorsports began to take shape last November when he competed with the team at Buttonwillow Raceway Park in the Formula Pro USA Western Championships, where he secured an impressive third-place podium finish. He also gained valuable seat time during a USF Pro 2000 testing day, further accelerating his adaptation to high downforce machinery. Further into the off-season, Schuh was part of an extensive testing program that saw him log laps at various tracks in a Crosslink Motorsports-prepared FR Americas car.
“We welcome Aidan to the team for 2026 and look forward to providing him the opportunity and tools to develop the necessary skillset to become a motorsports champion,” explained Crosslink Motorsports Gill Kaszuba. “Making the switch from competitive downhill mountain biking to Formula cars is a big transition, but Aidan has shown tremendous adaptability. While Aidan is continuing to develop his knowledge and gain experience as a racing driver, his podium at Buttonwillow, albeit in a smaller class, proved he can compete right away. His attitude and work ethic during testing have been excellent and we are excited to help guide him through his rookie season in FR Americas.”
Schuh will be driving the No. 14 Homes For Our Troops (HFOT.ORG) car this season in an effort to spread awareness and raise funds for the organization that builds specially adapted custom homes for severely injured post 9/11 Veterans. By providing accessible homes to these Veterans and offering continued support afterwards, the organization enables these Veterans to rebuild their lives.
Schuh’s navy blue firesuit and his car’s livery will mirror the patriotic red, white and blue livery of AJ Foyt Racing’s No. 14 Homes For Our Troops Chevrolet driven by Santino Ferrucci in the NTT INDYCAR Series.
Schuh will make his FR Americas debut April 9-12 at NOLA Motorsports Park. Prior to the season opener, he participated in the official pre-season test at the same circuit at the end of March with the team, giving him additional time to prepare for the year ahead.
With promising early results and continued development, Aidan Schuh and Crosslink Motorsports look ahead to an exciting rookie campaign in the 2026 FR Americas Championship.
